Last month, Scenic Rim Guide and a loyal supporting community, hosted a tuscan style feast. The event showcased a diverse selection of local wine and produce, alongside menus created by The Wandering Italian. Celebrating the region’s growing love affair of long lunches enjoyed with good food and great company, the Guide presented a series of courses.
Hosted in the light-filled, rustic olive of Risanare Retreat, our lunch overflowed with stories from the grapevine. Set on 5 lush acres of lawn, in the heart of Tamborine’s wine region, Risanare Retreat is inspired by its Italian meaning ‘to renew, balance, restore’. The party shared in a banquet heaving with signature dishes (Lasagna Classico – braised beef, pork, veal ragu, béchamel, mozzarella, parmesan), flanked by bunches of vibrant blooms arranged by Bunch It Up and sweetly-scented liquors rounding off the sensory smorgasbord.
