Home to three former Queensland Premiers, Sir Thomas McIllwraith, Sir Arthur Palmer and Thomas Ryan. This magnificent historical home has been elegantly restored. Capturing the former grandeur of the colonial period. The restaurant is located in what was Auchenflower House. Expect to experience history, elegance and relaxing dining with great wines.
Albert River Wines offers alfresco dining and caters for couples, groups and families. Relax while you enjoy the glorious setting and sweeping drive under a colonnaded veranda. The undulating hills covered with vines provies an immaculate setting.
Furthermore, are two historical wedding venues, Auchenflower Ballroom and Tamborine House. Each of these venues boasts a remarkable 1800’s architecture. With sweeping views of the vineyard, manicured gardens and mountain vistas. Timeless in beauty, this venue has provided romantic receptions for hundreds of happily married couples for over 100 years.
Albert River Wines is open seven days a week for wine tastings and Devonshire Tea. We are open for lunch on Wednesday through to Sunday. Visitors may choose from a two or three course menu, or from the a la carte selection.
